One of the most approachable physicians you will ever meet is Dr. Steven Glassman. A family man who enjoys dates with his wife, spending time with his children, and enjoying leisure activities both at the beach and on the golf course, Steven appreciates the benefits of life in Cheraw.
The father of four made the move from practicing radiology in Columbia to Cheraw because he wanted to give something back to a rural community. Trained at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Cheraw is fortunate to have a radiologist with Steven’s credentials on staff at Chesterfield General Hospital.
“There's something welcoming about Cheraw,” Steven states. “It's the friendliness of the people, the southern hospitality and the opportunity to practice medicine in a more personal manner. These are all things a big city does not offer.”
“The three things I value most are family, home and health,” Steven continued. “By working in a small community in a field like medicine, I am able to practice these values every day. To me, there is nothing more fulfilling than working with a patient, evaluating their condition and identifying their diagnosis early enough so that they can receive prompt treatment. When patients come back after they have recovered to thank me for working with them, I know I have chosen the right profession.”
